Heart Rate Quit Working on Blaze

Fourteen months after the purchase of my Fitbit Blaze, it no longer tracks my heart rate. Since it was two months out of warranty, Fitbit refused to provide any service except for the coupon which would allow me to save 25% off my next purchase. With a price tag of 200.00 I consider the Fitbit blaze to be an expensive device. Fitbit does not provide any type of repair service, so the 200.00 is just thrown away. I researched the problem with the loss of heart rate tracking, and it seems to be a common problem.

I have done done everything suggested by the support team and nothing has worked. If anyone has any suggestions on how to get support to legitimately help, please let me know.

Fitbit will replace the blaze if it is still under warranty so hopefully it will die before your warranty does. Since I am unwilling to gamble another $200.00 on a device that can die so easily, I am switching to Garmin and hope for a much longer product life.

I just had the same thing happen to me. I let my Blaze battery die. When I charged it, no heart rate. Green on continuous flash. Tried reset, turned off and on, synched multiple times, etc. so disappointed, it's out of warranty

Same exact problem. After draining the battery completely, when I recharged the heart rate never came back. Without the heart rate, any workout and calorie information is useless. So disappointed in Fitbit's lack of responsiveness to an obvious programming flaw.

First point a lithium battery should never be left completely dead, and if possible not let get much below 30%

My thoughts to try would be

Charge. Blaze

Through the settings menu shutdown Blaze

Press any button to turn on Blaze.

Sometimes life happens. And while the longevity of the battery life might be harmed in the long run, the product should still work after only fourteen months. The programming of the watch should not be affected by the fact that the battery was drained. If that were the case, then every lithium powered product out there would be compromised.
