Heart rate reading half of heartbeats?

Is it common for the hear rate monitor to be off by half of the heartbeats. I know there is delay, so when I weightlift, I can see the heart rate climb while I am resting between sets and then it come backs down as it catches up to me resting. However, when I hike it loses me and doesn't register a heartrate when I feel the most intense. When I stop to rest it reads 84 to 94 and then catches up to 110. I can assure you my heart rate is not that low. It's more like 160-170, possibly over 180 at times. However, the max it ever read was 130.

IIt seems to me that it is reading only half of my heartbeats when my heartrate is at its highest. Is this a common problem with the fitbit?

Hi!

Before trying to fix the heart rate feature make sure you are wearing the blaze properly so it can read your heartrate accurately. The Fitbit should be 1-2 fingers width up your arm from the wrist bone!2017-06-11.png
