Home Button Does Not Work

Very Tricky Problem!

Fitbit blaze home button does not allow me to return to home page or restart the device. The button clicks down and up, but does not seem to register that I am pressing the button. The device is not frozen. I tried to set an alarm (and it lets me change the times) but it does not allow me to return to the home page. I tried pressing the home button and the bottom right button on the left side,  but there was not response. Is this a computer issue? Is there a way to fix the button? I called the Fitbit support but sadly do not have ways to repair it. I went to Best Buy but they were not helpful either with solutions. Any ideas on where I can take it to get fixed?

 Hi,

Did you get the Geek Squad protection when you bought your device?  If so, they will replace it if they cannot fix it 🙂

I was going to buy from either QVC or Fit Bit but there was not a plan to go with it.  Glad I did it 🙂

Welcome to the Forums @gsunseri, thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself and @Slimdown2018 for stopping by.

If you are having issues with your Blaze button, you may be able to remove dust or dirt by gently using a toothpick around the button. If this does not improve the button performance, you can try to clear debris using canned air. Hold the tracker at arm's length and spray once to loosen any dirt or dust that may have accumulated around the button.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Smiley Happy

I have the same problem with the same button.

Mine "Clicks" when it is pushed so it isn't stuck. I also opened up the device and checked and the button does not have dust nor anything blocking it.

It's almost like a software issue or something. Unfortunately mine starting acting funny about 1 month after the warranty expired. Definitely put me off buying another Fitbit unless they change their warranty from 1 years to 2 or something..
