I was wondering how Fitbit syncs time. I'm kind of a stickler about having the correct time on my wrist, so I'd like to know where my new time is coming from. Does it take it from the phone through the app? time.gov? Anyone know?

Exactly it takes it from the phone via the app.
The phone gets it from the telephone company
Years ago a friend of mine would call time up every morning, and consistently fond his watch off. He eventually got a clock that connects to Boulders time data, and quickly realized the watch was more accurate then the number he was calling.
