How do I hard reset the Blaze?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I had the Fitbit Blaze, my email shows up but husband now wants it. Tried to add his email but wont let me. Now just want to hard reset it and start brand new.

How do I do the hard reset on it?  Been trying for hours.

Thank you.

Hi

It's not possible to factory reset the Blaze. No personal info is stored on the tracker.

Your husband needs to have his own Fitbit Account.

When he sets up the tracker to his account, it will be removed from your account, though may want to wait until after midnight, otherwise the current day stats (yours) can be sync'ed to his account when linking to his account when setting up.

It's possible to remove the Blaze from your account when wanting to on the trackers settings page.

@SunsetRunner is correct @JKG2017

Your not adding his email to your account, you want to add the tracker to his fitbit account.

Simply create an account for him, then setup the tracker to his account.

It's great to welcome you @JKG2017! @SunsetRunner and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

I agree with our friends here, there isn't an option to hard reset your Blaze. If your husband want the tracker and doesn't have an account but he does have an email account, you can just edit the email address by doing the following from a computer:

1. Sign in to your account at https://www.fitbit.com. Note that it's not possible to change your email address from the Fitbit app on your mobile device. You need to use a web browser.
2. When you're signed in, click the gear icon on the top right.
3. Click Settings and look at the Personal Info section.
4. Below Email Address enter a preferred email of your choice.
5. Type your password in the password field.
6. At the bottom of the page, click Submit.

Now, if he doesn't have an email or Fitbit account, you need to create both things and then you can take a look at the How do I set up my Fitbit device? article and follow the instructions provided there to setup the tracker to the new account. Or just as mentioned, just change the email address.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

So what can you do when the screen goes dark - trash it like the other 8 fitbits I have add.

I went looking for how to reset it without going to the touch screen settings since the screen is not working.  see my other post below.

My Fitbit Blaze wont pair with my IPhone but does seem to pair with my IPad mini?

If it pairs with other devices then the issue could be the phone. Also you cannot pair it to two devices at the same time. If the iPad is close turn Bluetooth off then try to pair. Hope this helps.

Tried but didn’t work. Don’t see how it is my phone as it pairs with both Nav systems in our cars.

The NAV systems do they use BT low energy?

Are you using the phones Bluetooth to pair the tracker? This will fail every time.

Everything must be done through the Fitbit app and not the bluetooth settings.
