How to permanently set your automatic time zone?

I'm so frustrated with updates resetting timezone settings. It seems like I always get random updates while I'm traveling and my advanced settings defaults back to 'cave dweller who never leaves their time zone'  

Is there a way to permanently set my advanced settings to sync with current time zone?

@dantheman76 Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried. 

 

Sorry to hear that your timezone isn't always automatically updating. I would like you to make sure that you have this setting on by doing the following: 

 

  1. Tap the Today tab 
     
    , and tap your profile picture. 
  2. Tap Advanced Settings.
  3. Turn off the Automatic time zone option. 
  4. Tap Select time zone and select the correct time zone.
