How to prevent pop up ads

I have a Blaze with iPhone 6s.  Every now and then I get pop ups ads.  I want to prevent them from ever popping up, but Fitbit just tells me how to delete them after they pop up.  I find this quite annoying.  Anybody found a way to prevent these?

I have never received a pop-up ad from Fitbit. I sometimes see a "tip" when I open the app, but never ads. Are you sure it is not coming from another app?

They are not tips; they are adverts.  And it's not coming from another app; it overlays only on the Fitbit app, and I never see them elsewhere. Many people on these forums are seeing similar ads, and all Fitit can saw is delete them after I receive them.

Yeah, I don't see the ads on my Android device. But with the latest update to the FitBit app on my husband's iPhone7, he has the ads. So now he's insisting that he needs to buy an Apple Watch because the ads irritate him so much. Thanks a lot FitBit. Nope we won't be able to compete in challenges and you lost him as a customer.
