I have suffered from the "feature" that turning my blaze off at night fails to reset steps etc at midnight. It seems I am forced to leave it on at night even though I don't know wear it.
that aside, I am left with unwanted steps that I can't remove because, although the steps etc havent reset, they are logged correctly in the activity log. As they are logged correctly in the activity log, all I can do is remove steps I have done and not the "extra" steps from yesterday.
any suggestions?

If the steps where not logged on the day they show, there is no way to remove them. Since they where not recorded today.
Sorry.
Normally you would record the time that you want to remove the steps as driving, but these steps where carried over from yesterday. Removing them from yesterday will give you the correct weekly count, but not the correct days the steps were recorded on.

Hi, @TheRealGaz, unfortunately if your issue is that your steps did not reset at midnight there is no way to remove these steps.
You do not need to wear your Fitbit at night if you do not want to, but to avoid the problem of steps carrying over, I think it will help if in future you do not turn your Blaze off overnight. It will need to "see" midnight in order to get the signal to reset.

Thanks for the quick replies. Just have to write off today, stats wise and revert to just having a very expensive watch for the day!
a little irritating that with all this clever technology and software to track steps, heart rate, calories etc it cannot tell when the day has changed unless it's on at the time!!
In future I'll just have to leave it turned on over night or go to bed later 😄

Hey there @TheRealGaz. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂
I'd like to add to @Julia_G and @Rich_Laue's great advises that while it is not possible to delete steps and floors, but you can achieve the same result by negating them.
For that, follow these instructions:
Hope that helps! Let us know if you need more help with this!

Thanks for taking the time to try to help 🙂
Unfortunately, in this instance your helpful advice won't work. My problem came about because the Blaze didn't detect the change of day and did not reset the steps and other stats. Because the steps in question never really happend (they are just a left over from the day before) they were not in the activity log to change to "driving".
There was nothing to be done in this case but write the day off stats-wise.
Thanks anyway 🙂

Got it @TheRealGaz. Thanks for getting back and yeah, I would say, just make sure to sync your tracker after it comes back to life from being turned off or after the battery dies and you should be good! 😄

@FerdinandFitbit, as @TheRealGaz mentions your advice for "negating" steps does not work when the issue is the Fitbit did not reset at midnight, because the extra steps did not come in at any particular time.
The only way to do it would be to log driving for all of both days, which would mess up calorie counts and exercise credit and ruin step accuracy for two days instead of one. Not really a solution!
