I can't delete unearned badges

It's only been 20 mins into today so far, fitbit was showing that I had walked 400k+ steps, there's no way I've walked that many steps. I do have Mobile Track on, guessing that messed things up. These steps don't show as an activity, so I can't delete it. I now have a bunch of badges that I haven't earned.

Now it's showing 9, but badges are still there.

I contacted support today. They are not able to delete unearned erroneous badges. I was advised to delete my account and create a new one. Seems like the workaround would take a few days though.
