Hello and welcome to the forums @Krayziezay
Well written and so very true.
When I started a search for a device, I did my research and chose Fitbit. Almost three years later, I have never doubted my decision.
Glad you're with us!

I also agree with you. It key to research what where you are buying to make sure its the right fit for you.
I have been with Fitbit since 2010 and have had all the trackers. Have loved every one of them as well.
Sure I have had a few problems but the help site is loaded with tips on how to resolve them as well,
Happy Steppng!

Doing a little research before would definately help with the "If i had known", question".
One of the first things i did before buying my first fitbit was to talk to a fitbit owner, then i downloaded and read the manual for the model i was ok interested in.
Another big mistake i read is, " i just bought the model XYZ, what do you think about it?", sorry it to late to ask this.

I agree with regards to peope not finding out if basic features are present.
As for bugs, I'm a bit old school when it comes to this. As it is now possible to change/improve/fix your product via firmware updates (as long as you have enough scope with the hardware) companies (not specifically Fitbit here) tend to release a product and then worry about getting it right after. Personally I'm happy to beta test a product but not when I've just paid the full RRP for it. This is the way of the world though I guess. I bought an Activite Pop and then had to wait months for the swim tracking.
The biggest problem is the "X,Y or Z feature is coming soon" and then nothing. It would be better if realistic timescales were given. If the customer is still going to be waiting for inactivity alerts in 6 months time, tell them that. Don't make it sound like it is coming any day.
Finally the hardware. It just doesn't feel 'premium' in the same way as the Fitbit One had that well thought out and sorted feel. I'd go as far as saying some elements of the hardware look and feel cheap. That said it is working well unlike my last tracker (not Fitbit) which had given up the ghost after 4 months.
