Blaze not calculating mileage accurately! Walking on a 1/4 mile track & Blaze loses .10 every lap!😳 Not happy. I have restarted & adjusted stride length over last several days! Nothing helps! Any other suggestions?

I see your title mentions step count off @TeresaOwen1

Until we determime the accuracy of the step count, it is futile to look at distance.

Please do a step count test. Next time at the track, count your steps in your head stop at some number then stop, wait for the display to catch up,  look at the tracker. Do they agree?

Resist the urge to look at the tracker while counting the steps, for one the display lags.

I start walking on my right foot, count every left foot, total steps taken is my count times 2. The 1000 steps i took last night gave me 998 steps on the tracker. Did i double count a syep? Who knowa.

Which traking mode are you using? With or without GPS.  Is it an indoor or outdoor track?

Lets look at the math

1/4 mile track = 1320 feet

Tracker is off by 0.1 mile 528 feet

Does the tracker really say that only 0.15 miles, 792 feet, where walked.

The math says to uncrease the stride by 1.66 times. Would t h is sound like a correct stride?

I actually track mileage closer than steps.  Rich I will give your suggestions a try when I go out this afternoon.

I understand you want miles, but not knowing anything about what mode you used, if the phone was with you or not, where you inside or outside, im going to assume no GPS was used.

In this case the tracker by itself can not measure miles. It uses step count and stride to calculate (think take a guess at) them.

Yes GPS was used. Outside track. Just tested it out side. Husband also has a Fitbit...we checked what each had mileage before we started this last walk. Endomondo in my phone says we walked .85 mile. My Fitbit recorded .60 miles, hubby's Fitbit .88!
