Incorrect steps

I find that standing in place and moving my arm, petting my dog from a seated position, stretching and retracting my arm, etc. all provide step increases on my Fitbit.
Is there anyway to combat the false step count?

It happend with all wristbands.

 

You can change the Handedness to to the oppisite you wear it. I wear it on the right but have it set to left. I get better accuracy
