Hey everyone just a quick concern. My heart rate was steadily going down for a few days and I was very pleased. Then in the last couple days (ever since I started back on the weights) it has just shot up. And it's confusing me because I thought your heart rate was supposed to go down while working out and lifting weights. I don't even lift really heavy I choose moderate resistance and I breathe and then I come home and eat real food ( paleo AIP) and hydrate (mostly with coconut water).

Pretty much any change will initially increase heart rate until the body gets used to the new activity. That said, I don't believe I've ever heard weight lifting will lower the heart rate; I've always understood a lower heart rate was solely the province of endurance cardio type of activities.
