Is the Blaze "Reminder to Move" dead?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I'm a happy Blaze owner. My Blaze is reasonably accurate, HR is OK , battery life good so if it never gets a move reminder I'll only be mildly disappointed. But... I may have hallucinated this but I thought I saw somewhere in a galexy fare away that FitBit had a firmware update planned for the Blaze with the move feature.

So, what I'm asking, was that a poorly firing synapse in my brain that made me think that or was a future move reminder founded in reality?

Thanks,    Richard

Well, the promise of a future move reminder is founded in reality. The implementation though....

Let's hope we're just being impatient and it's on its way.

my ears perked up yesterday--i was watching the presentation of the Blaze on the QVC shopping channel, it was their value of the day--When selling 15-20,000 of the Blaze at $180.00 a pop plus $5.00 shipping/handling...the seller STATED ON TV that this feature was part of the Blaze---hmmm?

we can only hope.

Did they read the discuss around correctly? Iwould have to check with someone, I don't see QVC as an authorized retailer I know the list is not complete.

I saw the QVC presentation yesterday too. And yes, I heard that the Blaze had the reminder to move. Since My Blaze is less than a week old, I kept watching to see if they were going to show how to set it up, thinking I missed something. I never did see it 😞 I hope they do add a reminder to move feature to the Blaze.

Fitbit says it's coming

@RRKPL Fitbit still intends to enable the "Reminders To Move" feature on Blaze via a future firmware update. Apologies for the long wait, but we can confirm it is still in the works.

At what point will it be a reality rather that in a perpetual "in the works" state?  Any time soon?

Those who know aren't saying, and Fitbit is usually pretty closed when it comes to discussing future features. One exception was the Fitbit Force, we were promised phone notifications and some details revealed in October 2013 article that Fitbit rep said "by end of year" and we were still waiting in August 2014 some 8 months later.

There are Blaze fixes still undelivered, a lot of folks patiently waiting for those too. I'm left thinking that Fitbit engineering is focused on next generation trackers and with acquisition of Coin is scrambling to integrate mobile payment solution into a 2017 tracker (to catchup with smartwatches). Sad story is playing out for us Blaze owners, waiting for fixes and promised features.

don't say it here--say it on their FACEBOOK page--where the y advertise how wonderful cutting edge the Blaze is---this is ridicules--i am tired of this endless nonsens.  I asked the following questions on fitbit facebook.

When will the reminder to move be implemented

When will the firmware update be

when will there be more clockfaces--it's there for everyone to see.
