LG G4 not working for call/text notifications

Just got my fitbit blaze today. Main reason was for the notifications but doesn't seem to sync with my LG G4. Is this in the works? Have 30 days to return and go back to my original fitbit.

-Open up the Fitbit app. Tap on the Blaze at the top.

-On the next screen, tap on the Blaze again.

-Under the "General" tab, tap on "Call and Text Notifications". This is where you set up all of your apps that you wish to be notified by. Tap each one and make sure the correct texting, calling, and calendar apps are selected.

-If these are all correct, try enabling the notification widget and see if that helps.

For what its worth, I also have an LG G4 and I am receiving my notifications. The apps that I use are Contacts for calls, Messenger for texts, and Calendar for the calendar.

Did you have to do anything special to get it to work? I've done all of the things you have listed and i'm receiving phone call notifications and can control my music. I'm just not getting my message notifications.

You alao need to set your message app to push the notifacation to the phone. Do you see text messages while your phone is on the lock screen?

I don't really want to pay for an app to do something that the device should do on it's own.

More information:

if you get 1 text message it shows the message on the screen.

If i dont read it on my phone and clear out the notification on my phone before a 2nd text message comes in all it shows is the person's name/phone number and how many messages you have. It will not show you the content of multiple messages from the same phone number.

has anyone else had this issue? If so were you able to resolve?

Just did some fiddling around with my new FitBit.  I have the Charge 2 and also the LG G4 for a phone.  My text/calendar alerts were not working at first but my call notifications were.  I normally have my phone on silent so I just see the calls/texts/alerts instead of vibrating or sound notifications.  This is where the problem lies.  You can receive call notifications in silent mode some of the time (did not work 100% of the time, but you cannot receive other notifications in silent mode.  If you change however to vibrate mode, you will start to receive notifications from texts (Message+) and also the calendar apps.  Happy notifications now my fellow G4 users!

Thank you so much! I tried everything to get notifications from an LG G5 to my Fitbit Blaze and it wasn't working because my phone was on silent. All resolved now it's on vibrate, thanks.
