What should I do if I lose my Fitbit device?
I suspect it must be nearby (in bluetooth range) if recording steps on app. Steps can still show on app via bluetooth connect between tracker and app without actually syncing.
A few days ago, the same thing happened to someone here, who eventually found it in another pants pocket, don't know why it was recording steps.
It could be it's sitting somewhere subject to vibrations interpreted as steps.
Look at the bluetooth finder apps suggested in the above link. But try to find it before its battery runs down because its bluetooth signal is your friend.
Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
