Lost/misplaced Fitbit Blaze

Hello Friends

Need your advice/help. I lost my Fitbit Blaze. I did read a few forum posts but drawing a blank.

The sequence of events is as follows.

On Dec 12th 2018:

1) Around 4:33 am, I got an email for low battery.

2) Around 5:00 am, I had kept the Fitbit in the bathroom room prior to shower.

3) Around 5:10 am, I left home to catch a train. I don't recall wearing it.

4)  Around 5:20 am, I discover that its missing from my wrist!.

5) Around 5:27 am, I ask my Bro to check in the bathroom and he searched everywhere & said its missing.

6) Assuming it would have fallen while walking to the station, how do I confirm?  how do I know if its  not misplaced at home?

6) The Fitbit app still says battery is low and is unable to find the same (as battery is low?). I tried to sync and it did sync as the number of steps has been reset from 10,000 steps.

7) I downloaded "Find my Fitbit app" and even paid $4.99 for the same but no luck.

😎 Assuming someone found it and if they start using it, how will I know about it?. Other than text messages, there is nothing really personal

Thanks in advance for any tips you can provide.

Regards

Raghu

Welcome to the forums!

Im sorry its lost. Sadly if it was picked up by someone you will not know it. They can set it up under a different email address and start using it. They will need to go buy a charger for it though.

But you said it synced so it should still be around close by

Fitbit has free apps to locate it. Might try one of those

If it comes close you just need to search around there. When I lost mine it came close so I search and found it on the floor of my closet

I do hope you find it

Hi there @like2fit, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you misplaced your Fitbit Blaze 😕 Thanks for all the details!

As @WendyB says, if you notice that your tracker syncs, it means that it has to be very close to you. In a range of 15-20 ft actually.

If somebody took it and syncs it to a new account, the tracker will disappear from your app.

Hope you find it and if you need more help with this, let us know!

Thanks Wendy for your suggestions.

One question I want to know.

It shows the last sync was on 05:07 am on the day I misplaced/lost. If it was nearby (with 0 battery), will I still be able to sync?

Raghu

Sorry if the battery is dead its going to be hard to find. But it sounds like it is close and you just need to look harder.

Did you try Car, laundry, Office.

Yes, I did check laundry but I have no car. Definitely its not in the office as I am 100% sure I misplaced at home or lost it on the way to the station.

It could not have slipped from my hand just like that as its pretty secure. I have run half-marathons with it and done so many runs and it has stayed on my hand.

Oh well, I had it for a year+ and its time to buy another one and I will follow "best practices”.
