Message about challenges in a different timezone

I am in Pacific timezone. So are my friends. For any challenge created by my friends, I get a message saying that the challenge is in a different timezone and the daily challenges will run from 5 pm to 5 pm each day (which should mean my Blaze in UTC). I have changed timezone settings several times, but have not been able to resolve the issue. Currently, my blaze is set for Automatic Timezones/Los Angeles.

The problem seems to have started about a month ago when I was travelling in different international timezones, and my fitbit was set to Automatic timezones. I did lose 10k of steps after I landed back and sync'd. Now, I see the step count of today and yesterday as the same. For example, it is Thu 12:30 PM PST right now. I see Today and Yesterday counts as 1800. Wed count as 10k. This implies that the fitbit app thinks today is a Fri and not Thu.

I would suggest unticking auto timezone then changing your timezone to any WRONG timezone and syncing.  (Make  sure your Fitbit really does sync.)

Then go back and set it again to the RIGHT timezone and sync once more.  (Again, make sure it syncs.)

That should correct your issues from midnight tonight (note: it will NOT change any step count that has already gone wrong).

Btw, I always advise turning OFF auto timezone as that can cause issues with losing steps and steps not zeroing.  I think it is better to be in control of when your Fitbit updates its time, so you can make sure it never changes timezones so as to "jump over" midnight.  (I hope this makes sense...)
