That is dependent upon two things, @jap9621 - the stride length defined in your profile setup, and how freely your arm is swinging while walking on the treadmill.  If you are holding onto the treadmill rails, the tracker cannot accurately count steps - you must walk on the treadmill with free arm swings just as if you were walking outdoors.  And, your stride length must be measured and set in your profile to match the length of your steps when on the treadmill.

Today I walked 3.75 miles on the treadmill, according to the reading on the treadmill, and my Charge 2 indicated that I walked 3.73 miles.  So, if the tracker is set up properly and the walk is natural, the Charge 2 is pretty accurate at measuring the exercise.

My feeling is to look at step count first.

Steos are somerhing your tracker can count, distance the tracker calxulates and makes an educated guess.
