Mini stepper and Blaze

I was thinking of getting a mini stepper to use for when I can't go outside for a walk. Will Fitbit Blaze still count the steps when using the mini stepper ?

Hi, @BlazeUser12, I think it is unlikely that it will count these steps, because there is no forward motion and no impact of your feet hitting the ground.

 

If this is an important consideration for you, you might want to try one out in a sports store while wearing your Blaze and see what, if anything, it registers.

 

As your heart rate may be elevated while using the stepper it may detect it as an aerobic workout, even if it doesn't count steps.

 

If you do try it out, be sure to let us know if it works.
