Multiple calendar notifications

Is anyone else receiving multiple calendar notifications for one calendar appointment?  Is there a reason the device is vibrating multiple times for one appointment?  Do I need to dismiss the appointment on my phone (iOS)?

I have found it does this for me when you have the alert set for Time to Leave, it will continually keep alerting you until after the start time of the appoitment.  One of my Calender events had 6 notifications right after the other.

I am getting this as well--using both the default Android Calendar app and the Business Calendar app on an HTC One M7.  I have notifications set to happen 15 minutes before the start of an event, and the first one works fine and right on time, but if I don't dismiss the notification from my phone after the initial alert appears on my Blaze (sometimes it takes around a minute, sometimes only a few seconds), I will get a series of repeat notifications--as many as 5 or more, often just 1 or 2 seconds apart!

 

It's really annoying, especially in a meeting when I don't want to/can't look at my phone to dismiss the notifications, but still want that reminder that I need to leave to go to the next in 15 minutes.  Once I do dismiss the notification from my phone, they stop, but I have to manually do it every time.

I'm having the same issue - I got 12 reminders for one appointment this morning... has anyone found a fix for this?

To the point of the initial question, I believe that if you do dismiss the alert on iOS, then the notifications will cease.

I am still having this issue where you get repeated notifications for one event. I shortened my event time and try to dismiss the event on my iphone too. I had take my fitbit off this morning its gotten so bad. Its given close to 10 and showing no signs of stopping. I did the latest update earlier this month. Any one have any solutions!?

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one having this issue!  I’ve had over 20 notifications in one day, for the same two or three events!
