My fitbit blaze won't sync

Hello! So I've had my blaze for a little over a year and have never experienced any issues with it, until just a few weeks ago, when I upgraded my phone to a Samsung S8. For a while I was having battery problems with my blaze, and it was needing to be recharged more often than usual, so I turned off all-day sync, and that seemed to fix the problem.

However, now I've noticed that my blaze won't sync to my phone, and hasn't since yesterday morning. I've tried restarting my phone, reinstalling the app, and turning Bluetooth off and on several times. Location services is on, I'm in a good place with internet, and I've even turned all-day sync back on, since it always worked then. But nothing has worked so far. It just says "tracker not found" or "sync error". When I'm connecting my fitbit, I'm not sure if I put it on "classic" or "pair" (on fitbit screen in settings), but neither is working anyway. Also, when I try to sync it, my phone is in my other hand, so it isn't an issue of being too far away.

I've browsed the forum a little bit with the same question, but none of the solutions I have seen fit my issue, so I would love some help. Thank you!

Hi there @LittleLiza1. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're having problems with your phone not syncing to your Samsung S8 phone...

From what I read, I didn't see that you mentioned that you've already tried to restart the tracker itself, so you can give that a try... You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

If after that it still doesn't sync, you can proceed with setting up your tracker as a new device. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes!
