New 3rd Party Frame Style - No Spaces At Edge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Picked up the following band/frame from Amazon.  Looks like it's a new style that just came out.   Unfortunately, the stock Fitbit Blaze band will not fit into this frame so I'm stuck with the leather band for now.   The original Blaze frame take 22mm band I believe.  This one is more 20mm or 18mm.  Might go try to find a band from a local store to see.

Anyways, thought people might like to see.  I definitely prefer this style over the original.

I bought a blaze today also but have the larger frame.  I am gutted as i didnt knwo there was a new frame out.  I am so unsure whether this looks too big for my wrist 😞 I wonder if I can buy the frame seperatley?

Yes, these aren't Fitbit frames so the tracker will never be supplied with one. I wouldn't be too sure what this do s for the warranty either should the tracker be damaged by the unofficial frame. Hopefully an unlikely event of course.

@adammiarka Argh! The link doesn't work! That frame looks perfect for my stupid tiny wrist... ;( Can you give me a search term? Sorry to be insistent!

Actually, I found it. In fact, if you can wait for shipping from wherever, you can just get the frame. I think I'm going to do that, as the band included looks to be a large.

Thanks so much for calling this to my attention!

I've also found that the GadgetWraps 22mm band fits this new frame, even though it's original for the Pebble Time.

@MikeF Never stated that this was an official Fitbit frame.   Let me see if I can update the title of the thread.

I've found that I enjoy this frame much better as it doesn't allow for dust to get in between and to me it just looks plan nicer than the original Blaze frame.

Adding additional pictures with the GadgetWraps band.  Think it looks pretty good!   I also have the silver version coming next week.   It's good to have choices.  Smiley Very Happy

@adammiarka Thanks again! I ordered just the silver frame. It's going to take a bit to get to me, but I don't think the default large band will work for me. The biggest problem I've had with the fit of fitbits is that I tend to have a lot of extra room on the sides, because the electronics are wider than my wrist. This looks like it will have added flexibility.

I got the silver one as I find black frames a little vader-ish to me!

Yeah, the black frames are a little different.  That's why I ordered the silver too, just to switch it up.

I've also found another band that is a lot stiffer than one that comes with Fitbit.   Tried it today during a run in the morning and a CrossFit workout at lunch.  What surprised me was the heart rate was actually A LOT better than previous WODs.   Wondering if the stiffness of the band had to do with that.  Here is a link to that one

@adammiarka I've definitely found that the heart rate monitor is picky about how tight/ loose it is on the wrist. It seems that it doesn't like to be "stuck" to the skin. I've even had accurate readings when the band slips down to the back of my hand, even though you're supposed to wear it an inch or two above the wrist, just because it's not stuck too hard there. I could see that a stiffer band would help with that.

Happy to have found this thread. Been wondering how I can remove the space in that stock Blaze frame. Aside from what was shared by the OP, I also found a Shareconn replacement framae which suits the one I am looking for. The other good thing is it will work with the original strap that the Blaze came with.

Ordering in Amazon now but it will definitely take a while to get to the Philippines.

Thank you SO much for the information! Not only for the frame but for what band to buy! My best friend just got a Versa 2 and gave me her old blaze. I instantly thought that the frame with the gap was odd looking and hoped for something that would correct that. This community is amazing!!
