I just received an email about the new black blaze - just wondering when we would anticipate seeing this in stores in Canada?  I see it can be ordered online now so hopefully soon.

I've had a black blaze long before Fitbit came out with one.  Who's running this company?

I was actually wondering if there were plans to sell just the band?  From what I can tell, it is only available with the purchase of the Blaze as a whole.  Can anyone from Fitbit comment?

IDK about Canada--but you can easily order a black (and other colors) frame from 3rd parties on Amazon.  I have royal blue, gold, pink gold

Are you referring to the actual black frame, or the Blaze body itself?  Fitbit just announced the release of the new Blaze with black frame.   Of course you could get these from Amazon for over a month now.

Thank you - never crossed my mind to look there.  Pretty cheap - how is the quality?

Looks really nice aesthetically, but the band and frame look like their made out of exactly the same materials.

I'd like to know how they're justifying a 30 dollar price increase for some paint .

All of 3rd party frames fit tightly..the bands also, i prefer the stainless milanese mesh, no holes in the band it loops around wth a magnet very secure, no breakouts on my wrist.

Hey everyone, here's some info that may answer a few questions:

The Blaze in gunmetal is more expensive than our other colors because its stainless steel frame must undergo a premium plating process. The plating process uses physical vapor deposition (PVD) rather than less expensive electroplating.

At this time we don't have plans to make the frame available separately.

The plating process is so expensive that Amazon and eBay users sell them for under $10. Lmao

I don't think that many people are concerned with the explanation fitbit has offered, i was also told by customer support, that the pop face was "designed to look that way"....i did tell cs that they needed a new design team....i am quite happy with the $11.99 various colors frames i bought, although i do not yet have the black, they all snap /click in tightly.
It is nice that fitbit now offers a different option, but they are gouging their customers. You can purchase the Blaze for 20% less if you buy through BedBath Beyond with their coupon. I belong to a weightloss support group, and several people have done this.
