So, your fitbit profile has a stride length for walking and running. Go to settings under your account and you can see what it is currently set to. If needed, adjust your stride length. This will give you a more accurate measure of distance for activities where you don't have GPS connected or for a treadmill where you are walking in place.

Hello @lisa0069 welcome to Fitbit.
First thing I noticed that the one peice of data the Blaze actually counts is missing above.

Would you be able to give us the Steps counted and the miles reported on the treadmill?
The stride might also need to be set, but we can look at this later.

Now a littlr bit about the Blaze and treadmill mode.
Miles are not measured, they are calculated.
The miles is determined by multiplying your steps by the stride.
The Pace is determined by using the calculated miles and the time.

First thing that needs to be determined, is if the Blaze is counting all the steps walked correctly. We will need to know the step counted for this.

Now let's look at how t the Blaze that a person is walking.
To be honest the Blaze is on the arm, and therefore is looking at arm motions.
It works like this, the arms move in a particular way in response to the legs movement while walking. The Blaze looks for this movement.

On a treadmill holding onto the support rail may prohibit the proper movement of the arms and steps counted may be lost.

Hi Rich ty

Under the report of this activity at the bottom it says

+4,107of 5,909 steps taken

The treadmill said 2 miles I was generally going at a setting of 3.1 on my treadmill.

Was not holding onto the supports, I was reading on my phone only extra movement was the change on page.

The fitbit is on my non dominant arm and I told it that but I do use by my arms generally the same.

Oh my page stats are

Heightft. in.
Stride Lengthft. in.
Running Stride Lengthft. in.

   5 foot 6

2 foot 3.2 in

2 foot 11.1 in

Hope this info helps

According to your stride info you should have walked 1.75 miles. Since we know you walked 2 miles, we can calculate that your real stride length was 2 foot 7 inches. If you adjust this number that hsould help give you more accurate length results.

Now, the question then becomes why did your fitbit think you walked less than half a mile? It should have registered 1.75 miles.

I know exactly my question.  Why is there an error or something.  I wish the  "Powers that be" would notice this.

Thank you for your help

Try walking for a mile or two outside and see if there is a difference. After, try walking with your gps connected from your phone for a mile or two. Then try walking again on the treadmill. Record each of those exercises and compare the results. If the distance calculation is significantly off for all of them, even with gps connected, let us know. Also, try turning off the tracker and turning it back on and see if that helps.
