New Blaze clockfaces are here! But how do I get them?

Got this email from Fitbit day before yesterday announcing new firmware with photos of the new Blaze clockfaces!  But how do I get the upgrade?  Is it pushed out or can I go somewhere to get it?

Finally a second hand!  Check it out:

And does this mean it will now give Twitter notifications too?

The firmware hasn't been released yet.  I think it will be within the next week from what I've seen posted.

Definitely looking forward to the new watch faces. I think the update is set to release the first week of September.

If you go to the link below and scroll to the "Stats and style for every occassion" section, you will see the possible new clock faces and they are looking quite nice.

It is set to release 'in September'. The 'first week' comments are only speculation at this point.

Has Fitbit issued any kind of announcement, press release, etc about this?  I'd love to find a comprehensive list of the features/improvements that will be included in this update, and a date certain for when it will start being pushed out to users (or alternatively some kind of statement that additional issues/bugs have surfaced in beta testing and release will be delayed pending these being addressed).

Anyone have a link to something that details this?

No. That sort of thing is published on the day that the update is pushed out, normally.

What they have done is updated the Blaze 'marketing page' to list both new and existing features but that obviously won't cover any bug fixes etc

Here's a couple of more or less official announcements.

First, a press release from Fitbit issued 8/29 here

And then an article from CNET, also published 8/29, here.  This talks about "five new watchfaces," and nofications from third party apps like FB, Twitter and Gmail.  It also say it will "begin rolling out to Blaze owners later this week."

press release is official and "Fitbit is delivering new features in September to all Fitbit Blaze users through a free software update" so it could be beginning, middle, or end of September...

There seem to be several threads out there on this topic, some with more info than others.  Since I started this one, I feel kinda responsible for it.

According to this thread, the firmware release went out to a few users, problems were found, these are now fixed, and rollout has begun again.  Assuming no more unexpected issues surface, we Blaze users should soon see the little "update available" button on our dashboards.

Sure, I'm eager to get the new goodies, but honestly, I'd rather wait till they get the bugs out first.  I want to it to work right when I get it, and if that means waiting a while longer, fine with me!
