I just bought it tried to set it up , app said not enough charge to complete update connect to charger. It's not charging been plugged in for hours, tried resetting the Blaze and or turn it off it won't respond it just has a logi and a "fitbit.com/setup"
But it wont do ANYTHING grrr
Yes mine is identical as regards this problem. This is the second one I have picked up from the store in the last 24 hours and it wont charge either. The first one was a frustrating dud and this appears to be the same. I continually receive the message that I don't have sufficient battery power for the update but it wont charge. I leave it on but all I receive is the fitbit.com/setup screen. Double grrr; wpould really appreciate some help. Can't get through to fitbit tech staff. Impossible

Best AnswerI'm looking online at the Garmin vivoactive smart watch now hmmm... I have wanted a fitbit for ages but now that I have one and it doesn't work maybe I'll return it for some other brand I'm a keen researcher and I'm finding a lot of negative feed back and malfunctions 😞

Best AnswerHey I got it to charge a bit using my phone charger port instead of my computers usb port , it is "updating my blaze" as I type ... still skeptical about the charging charger thing though I watched videos on how to charge it and it still didn't indicate that it was charging. I left it plugged in to my phone thing for almost an hour an then tried it and it's still working on the update, might work... dunno about charging in the future though ugh.

Best AnswerThe phone charger worked it updated and is now set up and functioning. You must be on the other side of the world every one is sleeping here lol (Vancouver island Canada) I can't take anything back till morning. It seems to be working now though.

Best AnswerWith a new new tracker that has the www.fitbit.com/setup nessage, the way to know that it is charging is by the vibration felt when plugging the unit in.
30-60 minutes on the charter will be plenty of time to be able to do the firmware update.
Best AnswerYay!!!! 🙂 Ya 3 hours on the computer there was zero charging, 45 minutes or so on the phone charger an whalla. I think the computer charging thing doesn't work.
Best AnswerDepending on the computer, especially if it is a laotop, it might not be able to provude enough current, or it might stop charging when the comouter goes into sleep mode.
