Which version of the OS agree you running on the iphone?  Your Blaze always has had the connected GPS. I have read that the iphone needs to be running the newer operating systems, and therefore some of the earlier models so not work.

To confirm that GPS connected should work swipe to exercise - swipe up - choose walk or run- in the lower left tap the settings gear. You will see the option to turn this feature off or on.

Notifacations need to be on, hold in the top right button, and the app needs to be running on the phone, can be in the background.

Please let us know how we may be of more assistance.

It is important to know more details on your phone, this is half of the connected GPS hookup.

IOS 9.3.1 I'm not updating to 9.3.2 because someone told me it's breaking iPad Air 2s. But I'm on IPhone 5s

I believe there was an issue with Bluetooth on earlier versions of 9.3 and 9.3.2 was supposed to have fixed it (though I may have got the sub-version numbers wrong). I installed 9.3.2 on my SE without any problems and my Blaze links with it, does connected GPs and syncs fine. That said, my car hands-free now doesn't but that's a different BT implementation...
