Not counting all steps

Hi,

I've noticed the steps weren't the same as the steps counted on my phone, so i thought i'd do a test. I carried my phone in the same hand as the FitBit Blaze so that the movements were the same and the steps were around HALF the amount on the Fitbit as they were on the phone. 5493 on the phone vs 2777 on the FitBit. Is the Blaze not accurate, or does anyone have a solution?

I have it set on my non-dominant hand and set up as non-dominant.

Thanks.

Huh, that's pretty strange @MissSchultz. Have you  tried to restart your tracker?

You can do this by pressing and holding the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds and this will make your tracker to reboot. Also, you can check your stride length on your personal settings.  This is more for distance calculations but it's always safe to make sure it's correct. After restarting your tracker and checking your stride length, try it out and see if it's more accurate.

Let me know how it goes and welcome to the Community! 🙂

Hi Ferdinand.Reading all the other posts in this forum, i don't think that's strange at all with the Blaze. It seems like a very common problem. I've reset everything, restarted everything, checked the settings and same problem. Stride length doesn't affect step count according to Fitbit. Considering FitBit started with step counters it's a bit disappointing that it can't do that properly on my blaze.
