Not counting steps

My fit bit blaze in the last 2 days I have been watching my tracker more closely due to noticing that it goes by several seconds and steps before it starts recounting.  I walked 40 steps earlier and only needed 2 steps to complete the hour.  It did not add these steps to the count and finally just registered 2 steps.  No rhyme or reason to this and I have attempted all the things I saw to see if it will fix the problem.  This is my 3rd blaze and they all start having this issue.  I am addicted to the blaze but hate it being inaccurate

A warm welcome to the Community @Bwest13.

Thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself. If your Blaze isn't registering your steps accurately, I recommend adjusting your stride length information, restart it, walk 100 steps and let me know how many it registered.

Hope to hear from you soon. Smiley Happy

I updated my stride length and restarted my Blaze. I walked like I normally walk 100 steps and only 70 steps were counted. I then walked with my arm completely still at my side for 100 steps and it counted 98. I cannot possibly keep my arm straight by my side while walking. That decreases my workout. Also, I receive points at work for my step counts and I cannot have such a significant inaccuracy.

I've already done this as well.

@AlejandraFitbit Yes I did. They did all of their tests and concluded that 70% accuracy is good enough. I’m disgusted. They did, however, offer me 25% off to purchase a new Fitbit. I declined. I’ve purchased my last fitbit.
