I've followed the initial set-up tutorials and the trouble-shooting ones, as well as any other solutions yielded by a google search.
Music controls work, my exercise and stats seem to be syncing fine. But overall connectivity doesn't seem great. I'm pretty consistently getting general disconnects and slowness connecting and syncing. I have no reason to think it's an issue with my phone, my car Bluetooth worked over the weekend and it's a newish phone.
It's a pretty cool device and I don't think it's a dealbreaker but if it's something dumb I'm missing I'd like to fix it.
Currently running Android 7.0.

So it's working for me now. May have been i stumbled across the perfect settings but i did turn the tracker off for 10 mins and it started working perfectly after that. Maybe the auto reset after the firmware update doesn't do the job

It's great to see new faces @Cyraga and @Lorabrooks1980 good to see you around.
I am glad to hear that your tracker is now working @Cyraga, @Lorabrooks1980 have you tried the step that our friend shared to see if this works for you too?
See you later.

I did and it did nothing. After multiple uninstalls/reinstalls I finally got it to where it will recognize my Galaxy S8 maybe 1 time in 3. The volume controls on music playback also work. Still no message notifications. Battery life is still well under 24 hours. So in other words, my Blaze is still pretty useless as anything more than a wristwatch. Lovely.

I bought and returned the Blaze because notifications would not work with my Galaxy S8+. So frustrating. I have contacted support numerous times only to be told that they are still trying to fix the issue. Meanwhile they still advertise on the website that my device is compatible. This issue needs to be addressed yesterday!

I purchased the Blaze several weeks ago. Very impressed with the look and feel of the device, but ultimately I had to return the tracker because notifications simply would not work! I tried every suggestion made by probably every post in the forums, before calling the Help desk. They also were unable to fix the issue and unable to give a time frame as to when this would be fixed. Since then, I have tried several other devices which can't hold a candle to the Blaze. I'm practically begging Fitbit to take my money, but how can I when it simply doesn't work. The website clearly states that my device is compatible, when it simply is not. I would love to buy the Ionic and take my chances, but I also don't want to shell out $400. I just wish someone would get this fixed!

I am currently having the same issue with my S8. I have uninstalled several times. Restarted the phone and have also watched the tutorials. I'm still getting no notifications. This is very DISAPPOINTING to me as that was one of my main reasons for spending this much money. Please help with any other suggestions. Thanks so much!

Mine randomly started receiving notifications at 7:00 last night. No idea why. I had touched any settings that entire day. I've had my S8 for over two weeks and it's been a very long and frustrating 2 weeks with my Blaze not functioning properly. It worked fine with my older S6. Battery life continues to be unimpressive and I have to charge it daily. Annoying though manageable since I keep a charger at my desk at work. Connectivity is still buggy. I ride or run to work daily and probably 50% of the time the Blaze won't connect to my phone. It often takes 2 or 3 tries before it will finally work.
