Not resetting at midnight

After latest update phone won't reset after midnight unless my phone bluetooth and internet is on. Before the update it would reset the steps and everything after midnight without having to turn on my bluetooth and internet.

A warm welcome to the Community @42451. This is weird since keep in mind that the tracker and the Fitbit app work with internet connect and bluetooth on. If you want your tracker to sync without and inconvenience and see that it resets at midnight, I recommend having the bluetooth enabled and internet connection.

Before the last update. I would only turn on my internet and bluetooth when I wanted the app to sync with my watch. Now after the update the same number of steps I had the day before will still be on the watch the next morning and it does not reset the steps on my watch until I turn on the bluetooth and internet. I was hoping it could it could go back to the way it was where the watch reset it's steps at midnight, that way I only have to turn on the internet and bluetooth once to sync and not leave it on all day to drain my phone battery.

Thanks for the clarification @42451. Since it's your tracker the one that is not resetting at midnight. I recommend restarting your Blaze to avoid  this to happen again. Also, you can check your timezone settings by doing the following from a computer:

1. Log into your fitbit.com dashboard and click the gear icon in the top right corner.
2. Select “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
3. Scroll down to the Time section and choose the time zone that best reflects your current location. You can also select 12-hour or 24-hour time display format here.
4. Sync your tracker to update your time zone.

Please test your tracker today to see if it resets at midnight and if it doens't, feel free to get in touch with our support team. For a faster response you can contact them via phone or chat.

That did not work either. I guess it's just the way it is. It's a shame really I liked only having to turn my internet and bluetooth on when I wanted it to sync with my phone. I guess I will have to change my routine a bit. I just hate keeping the bluetooth and internet on (battery drain).

@42451 what @AlejandraFitbit suggested, unfortunately probably won't affect today's miscount in steps, but should keep it from happening in future nights.

One thing that will cause the days steps to carry over is if a user changes timezones between 11:00pm and midnight.

@42451, you might want to check your Fitbit app to see if your blaze has all day sync turned on. If you turn it off this will help out with battery drain on your phone. Login to your Fitbit app and go to your account tab, click on your blaze tab and scroll down to all day sync, if its on you can turn it off.
