Not tracking naps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I was sent a new Blaze several months ago b/c my old one was not tracking sleep or steps accurately. While this one seems to function better it NEVER tracks naps. On the wknds I can nap for several hours. I have checked the website and both my device with no update on the sleep. Restarted, repaired, etc. Any other suggestions? I have tried it all as I did that with the first Blaze. Thanks

According to the sleep FAQ your map will need to be at least 1  hour long before it will be detected.

The alternative is to use the Fitbit app to manually start and stop your nap time.

Right. I'm talking about 3-4 hour naps. And according to several of the
posts I've read even though it says you have to sleep for an hour, it will
typically track it for a shorter amount of time. Like many people, my naps
aren't "intentional," especially in the evenings, so manually entering them
when I don't plan on falling asleep in the first place defeats the purpose.
I've never really understood how it tracks sleep in the first place.
Perhaps my HR doesn't get low enough in "nap phase" to track my sleep, or I
am still moving too much?

Sorry there was not enough information I  your last post to determine what the cause or the Leangth of nap is.

I frequently have my 20 minute naps auto detected.

Sometimes my naps are 45 mins, sometimes 3-4 hours and my Blaze NEVER
tracks my naps. Many times I don't plan on napping, such as falling asleep
in the evening to a TV show or reading a book on the weekend after a long
day outside. So manually using the sleep log doesn't really work for me. I
read in the FitBit help section that it tracks sleep with non movement
after one hour. Yet many people report that it tracks their short "cat
naps." I've restarted it and all the given recommendations with no luck.

My Blaze never tracks naps even longer than an hour. It used to,  but stopped after one of the updates.
