Notification service not running issue

Hi,

I bought my Fitbit blaze in Dec 2017. I use a one plus 6t.The notification service was working perfectly well untill the last couple of months. I was able to receive all notifications from my selected apps without any hassle. However, since the last 2 months I have been getting this error message on my app saying 'Notification service not running. Please restart your phone'. I am running the latest version of the app i.e 3.1.2 which is available on play store. I have restarted my phone and also done a factory reset. The problem however persists. I am not able to receive any notifications from my selected apps. However, on connecting the same device to an iPhone, the notification service works perfectly. Does anyone have a fix to this?

I just did as I had same issue and it now works

Hi Everyone - we recently released a new app version, can you please update to 3.11.1.

  • If it's still not working can you verify if you are on the latest iOS13.2.3?
  • Can you verify that this happened after updating to iOS 13?
  • Can you get any notifications at all?

You may also want to ensure the app is open in the background and that all-day sync is enabled. If it's still not working you may want to try setting up Bluetooth connections again.

  • Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and check if your tracker is on the list of paired devices. If it is, tap on it and select Forget this Device.
  • Restart your phone
  • Restart your tracker
  • Go back to the Fitbit app and try to enable All-day Sync or Notifications again.
