I got my fitbit blaze yesterday and I cannot get the connected GPS to work at all with my Huawei P8. I read that others had this problem as well. Is there a solution? I've gone through all the troubleshooting steps with ensuring all the setting are correct, restarted my phone and tracker multiple times but no joy...
Can anyone help??

A little more info - I can connect the blaze to the fitbit app and synch it just fine. I just changed from a surge to the blaze. With the surge I also could not get notifications working but it didn't really bother me much since it's not a feature I care about too much. The big concern for me is that I now cannot get GPS tracking for my activities.

Hello @reckhard welcome to the Fitbit Community! 😉 I was reviewing the list of compatible devices and noticed the Huawei Ascend P8 is compatible to sync with your Fitbit. The necessary components for initiating a Connected GPS exercise are:
To initiate a Connected GPS exercise, open the appropriate exercise (exercises that offer GPS connectivity on the Blaze will have a gear icon on the tile). Once you select the exercise type, you'll see that your Blaze will begin to look for your phone's GPS services. Once the device establishes a connection, you'll be notified that you're ready to go. You can always bypass the connection if you'd like, much like on Surge.
Are you getting any of this errors while connecting your Blaze?
Phone Not Found: Users may see the following error state if their tracker is unable to connect to their phone. If this happens, please ensure the following: phone is within range, your app is open, phone is charged up, Bluetooth enabled and bonded, and Internet connection is present.
Check Fitbit App: If you come across this error, there may be a bit of action required. Please ensure that your app is open, you are logged into your account, and that location services are enabled.
Also Location services are required for Connected GPS to function properly. Please ensure that location services are enables, and set to "Always" if applicable. Permissions are requested upon setup of the tracker. Users who intend to use the Connected GPS feature should accept the permission requests. If you switch phones during the life of your Blaze, you'll be prompted to run through all of these permission requests again before being able to successfully use Connected GPS.
Regarding your issue with the notifications, please troubleshoot as instructed here.
Let me know if this helps! 😉

Hi, i have just bought a Huawei p9 lite and was told it is compatible with the Blaze. i am getting on just fine with it however my texts and calls are not coming through to my Blaze. Do you know if there is a way to do this, or is this feature not compatible with the phone?
Also, i was hoping that the blaze would remind me if i hadnt moved 250 steps in an hour. Do you know if this will be brought in soon?
Thanks
Suzie

I have the same issue. My Huawei Ascend P8 doesn't work with Blaze with notification and GPS.
What is funny I can control music on my mobile device but not receiving notifications. When I try to get GPS choosing one of exercice (bike or run) it says "check your Fitbit app". I have tried all suggestion found here and it doesn't work.
Any other solutions?

@Arkadius If I forget to open the Fitbit app while trying to initiate GPS, I get that message. The app has to be open and running (even in the background) for it to work. Make sure you have launched the Fitbit app then start GPS.
Hope that helps~

@Arkadius notifacations need to be running on the phone, swipe down on the status bar.. Check for the message Fitbit notifacations are running.

Reckhard, I thought so. I was hoping there was any bug fix, it seems not. Thanks for reply.
I have basic software too, not rooted and I am not going to change that.
Thanks.

Hello @suzieellwood welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂 I'm so happy to announce that reminders to move have been added to the Blaze with the new firmware update. You can find detailed information on the Reminders to move on Blaze thread. Also I was reviewing the list of supported devices and noticed that the Huawei P9 lite is not listed, some devices are not in the list of compatible devices but that does not mean are not compatible. Is just that we cannot guarantee that all the feature will work or it wont present any issue in the future as it has not being fully tested. Nowadays high end devices are built with the same core specification,
