Notifications and calories burned issues

I am unable to get new notification. Last posted are from a month ago. I have also noticed my calories burned have been off. While at the gym doing the same exercises, for the same period of time and using the same resistance and weights, it will vary from 39-139 calories burned. I have turned off my phone and reset my Fitbit but have yet to see a change.
