Tried everything in the help pages on this site but still cannot get my phone and Fitbit blaze to connect to bluetooth with each other, so my text messages will not show up on my Fitbit blaze.

Tired restarting both phone and device

Tired turning bluetooth off and on again on my phone

Tried updating the app

Tried Having the phone bluetooth forget the device and reconnect

Tried going into the Fitbit app and stopping and restarting push notifications

Tried going into the settings on the blaze and changing bluetooth classic to "on", "pair", and "off" and didn't work.

They are still not communicating with each other. I have a Samsung S8 and my Fitbit blaze is version 17.8.402.1

download version 2.90.  turn off auto updates. I had to do this more than a year ago to be able to get my notifications.

How do I update the version? I looked through my phone app and settings on the watch, and didn't see anything.
