Installed the latest android application (the phone has android 6), paired the phone with the blaze, went through a firmware upgrade, enabled all notifications. Incoming call notification, and application test notification are the only ones that work. No text message, email, calendar notifications. Missed calls are not shown either.

It is not. But it is an Android phone. I'd think that ought to be enough?
