Problems setting up Fitbit Blaze

Hi, I have bought a second hand Fitbit Blaze. The previous owner deleted their account over 48hrs ago but when I am attempting to add the device through the app (fully up to date iPhone 7) I get the following message: The operation could not be completed. (Com.fitbit.http error 500) I have tried multiple restarts of the iPhone and Fitbit, deleted and reinstalled the app. I have also tried using a different iPhone.

Hi there @Hayleyfleck, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems setting up your Fitbit Blaze. Let me help you out with this.

I don't think this is a problem with the tracker or with the phone itself but maybe with the app. It's strange that you've already tried to delete it and reinstalled it and it is still not working.

Now, my suggestion would be to try to set up your tracker with a different phone as you have mentioned, but you need to make sure that it's a compatible device in order for the setup process to go through. To check the compatibility, click here.

Also, make sure you're restarting the Blaze correctly. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot

If you're still having problems setting up your tracker, let me know!

Hi @FerdinandFitbit, I have tried setting it up using my husbands iphone 7 and get the same error message. I have also tried multiple watch resets. I am still getting the same error. Thanks for your help.
