I am travelling from Canada to Europe this weekend and was wondering the best way to ensure my Blaze works/syncs when I get there. Should I be turning it off for the flight and turning it back on and syncing when I arrive ? Its a 7 hour flight but I am not really concerned about monitoring heart rate or anything else while on route, I want to be sure I can count steps and use the watch on local time when I get there.
I would like to hear opinions from users who have done this.
Thanks !

@SunsetRunner turning off the tracker is a no-no
OK lets look at things, when my neice went to Europe she had no problems getting free wifi to post to facebook.
To set the the timezone you will need someway to sync the tracker, i assume your bringing your phone. My thought is turn off all day sync, then choose to sync when the phone is connected to wifi. Make sure tgat durring a sync, if the time needs changing, that the clock in the tracker doesnt forward to a new day.
I know this might be confusing.
Basically make sure all day sync is off.
Sync when it is free data through wifi
Make sure the phone displays tye correct time
If your Blaze is an hour behind, dont sync close to or after 11pm, (23:00)
This sync could also be done tgrough a different device, say a computer or a locals phone.

Thanks for your reply.
I am bringing my phone but will set the FitBit app to WiFi only so it does not sync. My hotel has wifi I believe. I already have all day sync turned off. I am flying overnight so I actually want the date to change :), but I think I understand what you mean.
Last time I was there was almost 5 years ago, I am hoping free wifi is a little more available now.

I traveled from Canada to China back in September, left my Blaze on the entire time. Didn't notice any issues or problems.
