I just bought the Blaze yesterday. Says I walked 311 steps. I took it off and counted 150 steps. This doesn't sound trustworthy. I didn't have phone on me for this test.

I don't understand what your saying?

I suggest putting the tracker back on, go outside, start up the tracking of a walk. Now count off 100 or 200 steps, stop and check what the tracker says. This way your counting the steps at the same time the tracker is.

sorry, what i mean is I walked the same distance the fitbit showed as 311 steps and came up with 150ish steps.

Just now I took a nap and got 44 steps during the nap! So I reset it (pushed buttons on left and bottom right).

Also battery is running down fast, down 1/3 overnight. We'll see. I bought it at an ATT store and didn't ask about return policy for some reason. I hope it works OK.

I will go for a walk outdoors and count.

Thank you so much for moving the post @MariamV. Thanks for your input @Rich_Laue

Allow me to help you @NancyBNinja! It's pretty weird that your tracker isn't showing you the correct amount of steps if you're walking the same distance. I would like you to measure your stride length by doing this procedure. Check if your Blaze is in dominant or non dominant hand because this may cause your tracker to detect more movement.

Also, while sleeping the sensitive may affect:

  • The normal setting counts significant movements as being awake (such as rolling over) and is appropriate for most users.
  • The sensitive setting will cause your tracker to record nearly all movements as time spent awake. This setting may be helpful for users with sleep disorders, or those who wear their tracker somewhere other than the wrist while asleep.

Also, your Blaze's battery can last up to 5 days. You can compare yesterday's data with today's one (in case you did the same

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
