I've just bought a Huawei P8 lite and I've managed to pair it although it does drop sometimes which is really annoying but I just make sure it's synced before I go on a run or a ride or a row (or anything really) and then double check it on my laptop afterward. It is a pain as I'm an iphone junky myself which the Blaze always worked seamlessly with but due to personal circumstances I've had to down-grade my phone.
I noticed that in the Bluetooth settings on the P8 lite there are two Blaze connections that pop up - one just says Blaze and the other says Blaze (classic), I deleted the Blaze connection and paired the phone to the Classic connection, a PIN screen pops up on the Blaze and I tapped the 'Yes' option on the watch's screen. I then went to my Blaze watch and in settings selected "Blaze classic". This seems to help, also on the app in the Blaze configurations, I've turned off the Mobile Tracker as I think this is confusing the P8 lite and reading about it, if you have a Blaze, you don't necessarily need to have this function turned on: "MobileTrack lets you use the Fitbit app without a Fitbit tracker by using your phone's sensors to track basic activity data including steps, distance, and calories burned." So far I've managed to keep the connection by doing this.
I think Fitbit will need to pull their finger out on this one and get it sorted as the Huawei range of phones is only set to become more popular.

There's something odd here... the BT classic connection is meant to be only ror music. I am surprised if your Blaze is syncing that way.
