Just saw that the new Fitbit Alta has a "remind to move" feature.  What are the chances of this being added to the Blaze?  I feel like it would be an awesome addition!

Wow I just checked my tracking and at 3pm it was only 50 miles away from
my home. I am hoping I will get it tomorrow too.

Does the Blaze have a setting to remind the wearer to "Get up a move". Some of us sit at a desk all day and this would be a good option to remind us.
Best Answer

At this point the Blaze does not have that option, but is something that will be released at a later date. (No ETA yet)

I am considering returning the Garmin connect which I am replacing with the Blaze. Not having this alert is the main thing holding me back. I am a software engineer and I sit a lot. I need my cattle prod to remind me to move. Please let us know if this is weeks away or months away.

Why not just add silent alarms as a temporary solution unitl they add the feature?

My fitbit blaze arrived today - so excited! However...... I have spent hours trying to find how to set the alert that I read about at the time I ordered this product that would prompt me to move every hour. This was the feature that made me "step up" from my charge HR and stick to fitbit rather than buying an apple watch. So disappointed to now gather that this was mis-leading. Please could you action ASAP

It will be added with an update shortly after the Alta comes out. For now i have a daily reminder to move set in my calendar. Then have several reminders set to go off before the time to walk. So an appointment  to walk at 4, then a reminder for this appointmet at 2, 4, 6 hours before 4. This way every reminder pops up on the wrist.

They're so full of it. They add features that are useless, like "Wohooo great you now have 4 options of how to see the clock" but things like this feature and one I brought up...for people who only want to use the HR monitor (on devices that have them) when they're in exercise tracking mode only, and turn it off otherwise since it doesn't add value, are ideas that get pushed aside.

Pay 200 for a product, invest time to actually try to get them to understand how they can make their product better and they just shove you aside because a bunch of "smart people" would like to see the clock in Italics instead of Time New Roman or some other bs.

It was through users suggestions that quick view, stopwatch, countdown timer, seconds, date, auto sleep, and multiple tracker was supported, i know there is more but these ate the big ones. Fitbit is the leader in multitrack, before them, with the other companies you had to tell their server which tracker to look at.

The way they are instituting reminders os no dofferent then what has been done in the past. Put the feature in the latest/new release, get the logic working then add it to the older units.
Auto sleep was not added to the Flex until after it was fine tuned on the others.

I purchased the Blaze when I read that it would have the Reminder to Move so I'm pretty disappointed it doesn't. That was the one feature I was very excited about. Hope it is available soon to those of us who purchased the Blaze

I'm not sure why you would be disappointed, the Blaze was never advertised as having reminders to move. It was eventually announced in these forums that once the Alta is released, shortly after the blaze will get an update with reminders to move

Where did you read it had "move alerts".  I did a lot of reading before I pre-ordered and never saw a promise for move alerts.

@11butterscotch I'm actually going to leap to @Rich_Laue's defence here as his comment is perfectly valid and not in any way "fanboi praise". The Blaze was never advertised as having reminders to move and it was only after the Alta was said to have it, that it was brought up in these forums. Some mods then went and found out that at some point in the future an update would bring the feature to the Blaze. So, the comment about buying the Blaze because it had those reminders and then being disappointed because it doesn't (yet) is questionable.

Actually, when CNET first had their article regarding the Blaze, the move reminder feature was mentioned and then pulled.  People that were reading those first articles could have gotten the notion that the Blaze woudl have move reminders upon first release.

@SunsetRunner I'm not trying to call people out as much as recognize we're all in the together trying to make these devices work. My apologies, but rather than retyping please see extension of thoughts already posted under the "Blaze Stopwatch Split" topic, @bbarrera expressed expectations well
