Just saw that the new Fitbit Alta has a "remind to move" feature. What are the chances of this being added to the Blaze? I feel like it would be an awesome addition!

The simple answer is that Fitbit hasn't added it yet. That is what this thread is about. Did you add your vote to the feature suggestion, as suggested above.
Congrats on the 3 and 1/2 stone, I'm having a hard time keeping 2 stone off.. Ok America I converted the 30 lbs to stone

Do we have an ETA on this feature yet?

I am developer working at a computer. I need the "buzz" to remind me based on whether or not I have moved that hour. This is the PRIMARY reason I purchased this and I am furious that it does not really do it. Shame on me for not checking the reviews more closely.
What's worse is that this has been a issue and a highly requested item for at least two years and fitbit has not commented (that I can find) or added it to the product. This gives me zero faith in the company.
It will probably go back today, once I find one that does unless fitbit tells me it will be there in the next update.

Fitbit says it will be coming. Have you voted for this request?

You and i might think so, but we are not the developers. Personally i think they should be working on yhe step count issue that has been reported and fitbit says they are aware of.
Only 810 votes out of the millions of Blaze units sold?

Ok, I took the fitbit back to Best Buy and got the Garmin Vivofit HR. The step counter is much more accurate and it does buzz when you need to move. Unfortunately the buzz is so light I rarely feel it. (sigh). But the garmin has a "move" bar that is very easy to look at and see that you need to get up. Still not exactly what I wanted, but better.
So my final thoughts? Both products have issues. If fitbit gets rolling and fixes the Move Indicator and step counter, then it would have been fine for my use. But I like the garmin much better. The screen has more information and it easily serves as a watch (no button press required) and looks more professional.

I think that there are enough votes. If it doesn't have fitbit's attention by now, it won't.
I need a product TODAY that does what I want, I am the consumer. I would go to the Alta, but no HR tracking. I am afraid I have no choice but to choose another product.
I know you already "shame on me", but you said people have been asking for this for 2 years....when the Blaze is only 6 months old. The Blaze was never advertised as having that feature, only the possability that it may come in the future, which was stated long after the release. You probably should have done your homework first.....because it is not going to be done anytime soon for the blaze

Here is the 2 year and 7 month old request for Idle Alert:
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/Idle-Alert/idi-p/811
And it was marked "Implemented" by Fitbit on Feb 8, because they announced the Alta on Feb 3 although the Alta didn't start shipping until March.
Thats right, implemented on a model that didn't even exist for over 2 years while people voted on the feature request.
Then you come in here and try to argue that its not possible for people to be asking for the feature for last 2 years because Blaze is only 6 months old (technically only 4 months old, it was announced 6 months ago at CES in January, and didn't start shipping until very late Feb / early March).
Priceless.

Did you even read his post, he purchased the Blaze and said they have not implemented the request that is 2 years old......so yes, I will say it is stupid to correlate those 2 statements. His exact statement above was, "This is the PRIMARY reason I purchased this and I am furious that it does not really do it.".
So let me get this right, you bought a product that clearly does not do the one thing you wanted it to do.....and you are furious with the manufacturer? That statement alone, in reference to the Blaze is hilarious.
That is as bad as the people complaining that the Blaze is not waterproof or has no GPS after they took it home and used it for 2 weeks........or me saying I bought the Alta and did not realize it did not have HR monitoring. Just another example of someone not doing their researcvh before buying then complaining and trying to make it Fitbit's fault that reminders to move are not there.

Correct, how can you say you have been asking for the BLAZE to have idle alert added for over 2 years when the product is under 6 months old?
Sure, people have asked idle alert to be added, and THEY DID with the alta. People have been asking for it on the BLAZE specifically since this thread started, not 2+ years ago. Pretty simple logic.

Wait a minute. This isn't right. Yes, when I preordered the Blaze this feature was not announced. But, while it was still on preorder and could have been cancelled, the Alta was announced with this feature. I (among others) asked about this. Fitbit said clearly that this would be implemented on the Blaze and that it would be soon after the shipment of the Alta. I considered cancelling my order (I didn't want the Alta without HR, but if Fitbit didn't implement this on the Blaze then I was sure it would come from their next HR device so I would have simply kept using my Charge HR until the next device came out). But, I believed Fitbit that the Blaze would get this feature soon after the Alta was shipped.
That hasn't happened. I personally feel no need to do a feature request for this because Fitbit explicitly said it would be implemented on the Blaze.
This was not stated as a "possibility" and it did not occur "long after the release." It was stated as a certainty during the preorder time. This was stated more than one time. You should do your homework.

It is now July. When is the speedy addition of reminders to move going to be added to the Blaze? Do have to return mine and wait for it to happen?

@Akshay_Sajith @GadgetNC @bbarrera @Koshka @SunriseJogger02 @manstondrive We’re working to make Reminders to Move available for Blaze in a future firmware release, but don’t yet have an estimated delivery date. Once I get confirmation of a date for release, I will make sure to share it with you all.
@GadgetNC To clarify, Alta is the device that came with Reminders to Move from the moment it was released.

@ErickFitbit did you happen to see my idea about dashboard componants to help fill the gap until that happens? A countdown to steps needed in the hour and time since last moved would greatly improve upon my need. I am a certified SF administrator so I am aware that dashboard componants both in web and mobile app can be implemented with typically less than project level work. I imagine fitbit SW change is a significant project. Please let me know what you think.

I did my homework, and show me where Fitbit listed this as a something that would be added prior to the release of the Blaze? I agree with you that the feature request is pretty much worthless, but so it a moderator saying "it is in the works". They never "advertised" that it would be added. There is nothing on the Blaze product page about this feature coming in the future.....just a few moderators who said it was being worked on.
So you basically bought on an IOU from Fitbit. I agree that it stinks 100% that Fitbit has not given a date, but the lesson should be to not buy anything on an IOU.
GadgetNC stated that the reminer to move was his PRIMARY reason for purchasing the Blaze, and returned it becuase it was not available. If your PRIMARY reason for buying anything is based on an IOU and a "future possability with a date TBD", then you get what you paid for, something that does not do what you wanted it to do......but was not advertised as doing such.
