Reminder to Move

Just saw that the new Fitbit Alta has a "remind to move" feature.  What are the chances of this being added to the Blaze?  I feel like it would be an awesome addition!

It is now July. When is the speedy addition of reminders to move going to be added to the Blaze? Do have to return mine and wait for it to happen?

If you only own the Blaze for the reminder to move, then you should return if you still can, becuase no date has EVER been given......so don't hold your breath on it coming.

It was mentioned in these forums that the blaze will have the RTM when it is released, the Blaze will receive it with an update

Its now mid July and no Blaze update to add reminder to move! We were to believe that it would come out in April.

I am terribly frustrated with that and other features that do not work well.

Its time Fitbit listened to its customers and stop resting o its laurals.

I've never seen a date given by Fitbit...

For me, Fitbit slow updates has been a constant frustration for years, starting with Force I purchased in December 2013. Then Surge. Now Blaze. Clear pattern in my opinion, within Fitbit engineering it seems priority is given to future unannounced trackers, at the expense of more rapid updates of current models like Blaze.

There will be a firmware update soon after Blaze launches that will optimize the device to receive Reminders to Move, though it's unclear how soon after. I'm sure it'll be a speedy process. @Koshka

The above was on February 4th.  It is now over 5 months later.  That is not soon after Blaze launches.

LOL, agreed, apparently "soon" is a very relative term. See my comment in this thread concerning Force and Fitbit statements about phone notifications coming "soon" - in that case it took Fitbit about 9 or 10 months after shipping the Force to eventually release the new feature.

I agree with you guys, but as bberra showed, Fitbit does not have a track record of fast updates.  I think the lesson should be that you should not buy anything on an IOU from a company with a poor record of implementing updates.

It's really just a failure on their part to manage their clients' expectations. The fact that they have a track record of this is not an excuse, just points it out. Better to say nothing and surprise us 🙂

I bought the Blaze not even knowing it was a possibility, so I was excited by the fact that it would updated "soon." So now all they've done is disappoint... it's not a great disappointment by any means, I still enjoy my Fitbit, but would be happier to have the feature.

I've worked in client service, and still have that mindset which has served me well over many years, I suspect that newer companies like Fitbit have yet to grasp the idea, they're worried about someone going to a  new product if they don't wave the carrot ... but you shouldn't wave the carrot until it's rotten 🙂

Thanks!

I haven't heard anything. The thing that is making me so mad we paid more for the Blaze but this move feature didn't come with it. I have received more updates for the app then the Blaze itself.

This was not and still is not an advertised feature to the Blaze. Yes it would be nice, yes it was unofficially announced as going to be added, but unfortunately if it is instituted like on the Alta it is not going to help me. Of course this is Where users help users, have you voted at the link supplied above?

But you should have known it did not come with the Blaze when you bought it for $200.  It is very common for the apps themselves to get updates and tweaks versus the product.  People, just deal with the fact that it is not coming.  In the next post or two a moderator will give the "we are working it" update that they have given for half a year, but just know it is not coming.

Still waiting.... @EmersonFitbit

This is getting RIDICULOUS now. Almost HALF A YEAR? Every month you (Customer Service) give us the SAME ANSWER about Reminder to Move on Fitbit Blaze. We're tired of waiting and getting the run around. PLEASE do something about this and update Blaze! Give us something TANGIBLE. We're tired of the Carrot on the Stick responses!

I would think this would be a easy feature to add considering that they already have this feature in other fitbit devices. Looks like nobody is assigned to this. I just got my blaze few days back. Just have to live without RTM I guess.

Cheers!

They need to fix the Blazes other issues before they try to add additional features. Those issues are the reason I stopped using it, sold all my accessories and went with a different manufacturer.
