Reminder to Move

Just saw that the new Fitbit Alta has a "remind to move" feature.  What are the chances of this being added to the Blaze?  I feel like it would be an awesome addition!

Will the remind to move notification ever be a feature on the Charge HR?
PLEASE say it will!!

I believe they set it as solved because they responded to the question.

-reminders are not yet available
-blaze updates are now focused on stability and bug fixing (I rather this than them adding stuff to a faulty system)
-they hope to introduce new features once the system is better equipped to handle them.

This is awesome. I think it's best they fix bugs before they go too deep into new features.

It has been a few months since you confirmed the add of the reminders to move was planned - I thought the Blaze had this already. Any changes in estimated date?

I still would like to have Reminders to move & More clock faces on my Blaze.

I hope it is an optional feature when it finally does get released. When I am at work a reminder to move would be very distracting, especailly since I can't just get up whenever my watch tells me to.

Any idea of a time that move reminders will be implemented in Fitbit blaze? I have a charge hr, but I would upgrade to the blaze for the move reminder.

Yes, it would be WONDERFUL to have the reminder to move on the Blaze. I would think that this would be a major no brainer to have as a feature! Or least be able to see how many more steps you need to take within the Fitbit App itself. Which you can't see in there either. It just shows the hours that you either hit your 250 steps or missed. But you can't see by how much you missed the goal. Working in an office environment, it's hard to keep track of how many more steps you need to take in an hour. So please, please, please make this option availalbe ASAP!!!

It's been almost 4 months since this solution was posted. Do we have an ETA on the upgrade yet?

No update has been provided by Fitbit.  Those of you waiting on the edge of your seat for this should probably sit back and get comfortable, because it most likely is not coming.

@racertempo You'd be correct in the sense that I have no new information to provide.

As I said in my previous post in this thread, the Reminders to Move feature will be coming to Blaze in a future firmware release. There's no set date on when this will happen, but just know that it will happen.

@AndrewFitbit The problem with this response is that it is entirely in adequate..  I was the person who originally asked about this before the Blaze shipped.  Specifically way back on February 4th (!)

"will be a firmware update soon after Blaze launches that will optimize the device to receive Reminders to Move, though it's unclear how soon after. I'm sure it'll be a speedy process. @Koshka"

It is 5/25.  That is not "soon after Blaze launches" and it is not remotely speedly.  Honestly, I feel like this was a bait and switch.  I was considering cancelling my Blaze pre-order until I read that post.  As a result, I believed it and didn't cancel.  It will enrage me if this is either never added or is added around the time as some Blaze substitute is released that has it (the Alta didn't bother me because it has no HRM so that was a deal breakfer for me).

Saying it will be added, but hasn't been added yet and you don't know when is just inexecusable (I don't blame you personally for this as I'm sure you have no control over it).  I remember when we were supposed to get phone call information on the Force and it never came (and then the Force got recalled).

I have had several Fitbits and loved them but I honestly don't understand why Fitbit is so consistently disrespectful to customers.  It makes me want to leap to some other product as soon as I find one that has my deal breaker features (continous HR monitoring, changeable bands, idle alert).

Right now I can't find a product that does all I want.   The Apple Watch has been insufficient for HRM, for example.  But, there will be a time that alternatives will exist and then people will be unhappy with the lousy customer service.  Messing around for months to add a simple feature like this (basic as it is) is just ridiculous when everyone knows that it isn't that hard to add given that the Alta has it.

@Koshka I am with you, i am equally frustated. I dont think fitbit (as company) takes it's community seriously.

I have been following this topic religiously, and have seen folks constantly asking for this, But fitbit turning blind eye to us.

For me personally it had reached a point, that I stop recommending fitbit to my friends.

I would like to have it but I wouldn't say I am frustrated. I am certified admin for the platform they use to deliver the app - so first I understand challenges developers can face. Also I think they said they were working on other issues that were critical to the well function of the device. Getting feedback helped me.

No one will make a produc that has everything that EVERYONE wants.  Someone might make something that Koshka want, but it might be missing something soemone else wants.  It also would not be fair to say that it is easy to add "given that the Alta has it", when they are different products and different software platforms.

If that one feature is that important to you then you probably should have waited until it was officially a part of the product.  Heindsight is always perfect, but given Fitbit's record for rolling out major changes I would not have ordered it if my purchase hinged on that one feature.

I agree with that point but I did come up with something that helps me - I looked at my history to see the times of day I am most often not moving within the hour...for example for me that was 7am, 4pm and 6pm. I set up alarms for those 3 hours to remind to check if I moved 250 steps in the past hour.
Also I try to plan to walk for 5-20 mins at the top of every other hour. This has helped. Yes I would like not to have to think about it but Fitbit gives me so many other features I do love.

Is this feature "Reminder to Move" being planned as a part of any future update for Charge HR.

I just bought one few days back and have come to know through this forum that this feature is available only in ALTA.

Any update on Blaze release?

I'm going to see if I can predict the future.

Hopefully soon there will be a software update to fix what they broke with the last update. And since I doubt in one update they'll address some major bugs and also include new features, the reminder to move that everyone wants won't be included until a later update.

Then there will be an uproar.
