last week I noticed my steps were not accurate and it started double counting my steps and over the last few months (really since i got it last summer 16) it started me off with like 500 steps and 600 calories already burned and I was asking my friend who has a similiar work out watch and se says hers resets at midnight. so i got on fitbit and chatting with the fitbut person and he had in fact discovered by doing a walk test that none of my information was accurate. so he sent me an email and I got a replacement blaze tracker. i put my old tracker in my kitchen far away from my new tracker. Ir emoved the old tracker. i set up my new tracker this morning and immiedity it showed i had burned 500 calories. no steps just calories. so i said ok, i removed the balze again. i reset everything I turned off my phone my tracker. this afternon i came home and wwent to work ont figuring this out. remarkly i had burned 1,008 calories! and I wasnt even home or wearing it. mind you just calories no steps nothing else. my old tracker is still on but is in a cup in my kitchen cabinet. my question is what is going on? why does it say those many caloires? its charging now so i will be curious to see if it willl reset at midnight. I have been in consent contact with fit but so kudos to them for getting back so fast. but i want my fit bit to work. i love fit bits. i had a fit bit, then a charge HR and now a blaze. i wanted the balze b.c i wanted the phone calls. sold the other 2. bought blaze. please please please help!!!

What you are seeing is correct. You burn calories just being alive, even if you aren't doing exercise, around 75 calories per hour, depending on your specifics, but around that number.

Therefore even if you don't do anything you will always see your calorie count increase.
