Resetting TimeZones on FitBit Blaze

I have just returned to California from a trip to the East Coast but my FitBit Blaze thinks it is still in Carolina and is stuck on Eastern Standard Time.  Is the FitBit software/firmware designed to make the adjustment to the display when it syncs with the iPhone or is there some combination of steps required to reset the watch function to the correct timezone?

It is suppose to change but sometimes it doesn't. So you need to go to the dashboard and change it and then let it sync
