Return process seems shady

Hi,

my Blaze was defective, and I contacted support and they agreed to a refund if I returned the Blaze.

Fitbit provided a DHL shipping label and I sent it back. Fitbit then asked for my bank name/number/international bank number etc so they could send me a refund. After a long time of hearing nothing back, I contacted Fitbit again. Apparently Fitbit had received it, but have said their refund process has since changed (without contacting me). Now they are offering a refund by electronic MasterCard, but I have to give them my email address and date of birth. After already providing my bank details, I feel like Fitbit asking for my birthdate is a bit shady, and I can think of no reason why've they would need it.

The email address I have been contacting is fitbit-support@fitbit. com

has anyone else contacted Fitbit using this address? I went through what I thought was a legitimate Fitbit website, but the whole process has seemed a little weird.

Thanks 🙂

Hi, @Erkel, I am not saying that that address is bogus, but it is not one I have seen before.  You can get directly in touch with Fitbit using this link: contact.fitbit.com and you can check with them whether you are using a legitimate address and why they might need your DOB.  Until you have done so, I would not give out any further information.

If you already have a reference number for your support case be sure to include that.

@Julia_G that address is not the Ed address but it is the address I see with replys to me. Yes I have contacted them t is way.. Twitter still gets a faster request.

@Erkel an electronic MasterCard is not to see by someone under 18. Could this be why?
