I agree with our friend here, since the Blaze uses internet to sync, you can avoid syncing your tracker with your mobile's data or keep in mind that you can always sync if you have WiFi.

The only way your Blaze will force your phone to access the internet is if you sync it. So, if you disable bluetooth on your phone it will be unable to sync. Your Blaze will happily store data for up to 7 days between syncs.
